Updates on Kibo, Esiteti School's Adopted Elephant
Esiteti School adopted "Kibo," a three-week old orphaned elephant rescued near Amboseli National Reserve.

Speaker Program
In the spring of 2009, ASK conducted a three-week Speaker Program at Esiteti School in Kenya, East Africa. Nine African leaders met with over 200 Maasai boys and girls ages 3-12. These esteemed guest speakers not only shared their area of specialization with the youth, but also their language and culture. Learn more about the speakers.
Official Roots & Shoots Club
Esiteti officially became the first Roots & Shoots Club started by Maasai
youth. Erasto Njavike, The JGI/Roots & Shoots Manager
for East Africa, was the opening speaker for the ASK
Speaker Program. He
kicked off the program by having the students and their parents plant 90
Acacia tree seedlings at their new school location.
